Meet the Solar Car Team at UC San Diego
The Solar Car Team at UCSD is committed to exploring the potential of solar energy, by building UCSD’s first ever Solar Car, to participate in national and international competitions. We hope to not only create long-lasting education to portray the power of solar energy, but also inspire both team members and peers to get involved in sustainable projects both at school and in their future careers, to come up with innovative solutions for the energy crisis.
Within these last few years, we have finalized the basic skeleton of our chassis, completed most of the composite work for our car’s body, and started developing the power system for the vehicle. Our next step is to complete the fabrication of the car components, and begin the assembly and integration of our car.
In this presentation, we would like to showcase the project, introduce members of the team, and share our progress and goals. We hope that you can join us!
